If you are one of those people who think the horror movie is supposed to be a long screaming run in the woods with a knife equipped maniac on your back then let it pass. This is no cheap thrill jump fest and you might be bored. If you think the true horror builds on suspense and should bring you an unexpected twist at the end you will love this. This is really deep Japanese style horror movie that will left you stunned in the end. The movie systematically builds the suspension using a lot of different false twists.Really recommended!

was waiting for 3 years now to see the film and was not disappointed. Actually, it was everything I expected + much better. It had all the elements I appreciate in a horror film: ghosts, blood, freakin' dolls turning their heads, catchy phrase, unexpected turn of events, creepy thing looking at you and you're not aware of it and best of all as a bonus : Amy Smart. Don't take the current rating of 4.9 as an objective quality of this film as the film was released 3 years later than expected, a lot of people waiting to get their minds blown and being disappointed. If you are a true <more>
horror film fan as I am, you will enjoy every second of this marvelous piece of cinematography.
One of the best films I have ever seen!!! (by brandonwilliams_2000)
This film was really good! And what made me think that it would be a good film was that Scout Taylor Compton was in it!! And without her being in it I probably would never have heard of this film as I looked at what movies she'd been in on google. That said, a really good cast overall, and a really good story line! Furthermore, what makes this film at the top end of the spectrum is that it had a really powerful motto behind it! Which is about holding grudges, and that it is unhealthy to hold them in against people. You should let go of all of your grudges, forgive people and live life <more>
with a healthy mindset and a clear conscience. Also, the scene where the remaining survivors see their deaths on the news, I think the spokesman was covering up the truth of what really happened by saying that their oxygen masks had failed, when it hadn't was acting like he didn't want to be fired from employment, could suggest why he was giving off an injustice vibe. Finally, on some of the reviews I have read, people have been really confused about the ending and I really don't see how you can be confused, all of the remaining survivors can see themselves dead in their seats and I'm not sure if it is premonition or not because as soon as they let go of all of their grudges, their souls could then be released from their entrapped bodies and they must have had unfinished business else they wouldn't have been able to go to heaven without a clear conscience. At the very end, the last woman was still roaming around because she hadn't emotionally let go of her feelings. Thank you for reading, I'm only 16 and I understood it, so I knew it was gonna be good as it was produced by the Grudge director!! Insane!!!
Don't see what the hates all about, I enjoyed the hell out of it! (by moosecadet777)
T.J. Breedlove's review of "7500" Another great film by the mastermind of the original Grudge series Ju-on , Takashi Shimizu delivers a unique and horrifying film about a flight filled with multiple varieties of different characters, in which you'll love and hate. When flight 7500, departs from a L.A. airport, immediately no time is wasted learning what the different personalities attending the flight are like. You have the captain who is attempting to have an affair with a stewardess, a goth girl who has a morbid fascination with death, a bizarre figure who favors in <more>
dealing with spiritual dolls, and hair samples of the dead, a young thief taking advantage of an opportunity at the wrong time, a girl praying that the pregnancy test will be negative, a newly wed couple who are obviously not compatible, a paramedic, and newly engaged flight attendants and passengers who are in search for a new beginning in life. The two I happen to latch onto the most are the Goth girl and who wouldn't , and the paramedic. While the girl sees life as an out of control spiraling event in which you cant control, her ideology says live life for the moment, no matter how reckless, or apathetic, because life can end at any unexpected moment, where as the paramedic, spent his youth doing the same which led to the decline of his relationship with his fiancé who is on board as well grew into the aspect of life is precious and worth holding onto no matter what. Both have obvious conflicting ideas of what a life is worth, one says embrace death while the other tries to fight it.On the way to Tokyo, a strange man with a mysterious box, is dying under mysterious circumstances, after his demise a unnatural chain of horrific events unfold. people start to disappear, there's a change in pressure, causing everyone to fight for their lives, while holding to what little breath they can muster from faulty oxygen equipment, and overall the fear of facing everyones unique and different fears of mortality, from the germaphobe who hates anyone who she deems racially inferior with different customs and habits, to those who are afraid of small environments. The film delivers a very claustrophobic feel with mix of old school Japanese horror with crazy pale looking figures attacking the passengers, a stewardess getting snatched up and pulled into an overhead compartment, to overall examination of life and death, and concludes in a twist that is both hair raising and mind blowing. A fantastic film. I will not spoil anything but I highly recommend this one, and after the many delays this film suffered, Im glad I invested the time to see it.My personal score is a 9 out of 10 This is my opinion, whats yours? I Loved It ! But i Had no expectations (by dannib89)
So I just read through a few reviews thinking to myself "aw, am I not seeing something that everyone else is" but I think I figured out its because I put this movie on without any expectations. I had no idea what it was going to be about - I forgot I even had it..So I just chucked it on to watch while I was eating my lunch and it just gripped me instantly. It was very suspenseful, its not really a scary/horror movie as you may expect and I think its been portrayed to be a horror but to me its more of a thriller/mystery.I know a lot of people said its been done before and maybe 15 <more>
years ago it would be scary but I still thought it was awesome. I went in first thinking it was gonna be Zombies, then thinking Aliens, then Demons - it just took me around and around & I couldn't wait for the ending! There were a few little hints throughout the movie that at first confused me, but then made sense at the end.ONE THING I HATED, was that extra last 2 minutes which should have been cut entirely - and was not needed. It feels like the movie has ended and I was all like "wow that was awesome" screen goes black for a minute... then it pops back up with Liz Nicky Whelan in a little 2 min scene which was stupid and kinda ruined the ending - but I just pretend it doesn't exist.
Waited 7500 years to see this and...... (by T-Sour)
Well, it was worth it. I first heard of it back in 2012 when I was still in High School and I immediately thought, "Grudge on a Plane". I waited till it was August, and then no release. So I again waited till October 2013, still no release. Earlier this year, when that Malaysian air plane that went missing, I thought the filmed would be shelved permanently!! So when my friend whom I share a deep connection to horror films with found out there was going to be a local screening, she immediately called me up. I was sooo stoked!!!! We grab our shoes and headed straight out the door. We <more>
finally sat in our seats after being searched for camera's and such and enjoyed the 10 min previews up to the movie. So about the movie: It's exactly what you expect from a horror movie on a plane. I loved all the actors, even the smaller characters as well. Everyone did their best as they try and figure what the F is going on here. Is it a ghost? Monsters? Hijackers? or something completely different? Well, I was surprised with the ending of this movie to be honest. It kind of threw everything out the window. It was the only thing that could have killed the movie for me, thankfully it made sense so it didn't. It's a little more slow burn, but if you can enjoy it for what it is, I think you'll like it. Also, I love that this is not filmed like a self-shot movie.
So far best film of Takashi Shimizu... (by jaymagtibay_26)
THIS POST MAY NOT OR MAY HAVE CONTAIN SPOILERS!!!So today I was one of the very lucky movie ducks to see 7500 here in the US. It actually opened some part of the US! I was so excited to see the movie because we waited this for 3 years!the movie is a one of the best film of Mr. Shimizu! And some goofs in the movie but I don't want to spoil you but if you like just DM me. The movie is kinda related about the missing Malaysian Airlines flight and maybe that is the reason why CBS films delayed it. Like I said the the movie is very depressing and will stick to you in the end worth the watch <more>
and very entertaining though but I don't get it if the movie is a ghost on plane because the guy from the trailer who cant breathe is the one who creeps everyone out! What a sad ending and movie : I hope you like my review :
The Plot.On May 12th, Vista Pacific Flight 7500 departs Los Angeles International Airport bound for Tokyo. The take-off is routine but what transpires over the next ten hours is anything but ordinary. As the overnight flight makes its way over the Pacific Ocean, the passengers encounter what appears to be a supernatural force in the cabin.Ignore the bad reviews. This is a really good movie with a great twist.Yes, it DOES get a bit dumb toward the middle-end, but them it comes back and hits you with a wallop you weren't expecting.I thought this was a really good "horror-suspense" <more>
movie that is in English but has a decidedly Japanese perspective. It also reminded me of M. Knight's style of story telling.See it.
