I like this movie, especially that exist. It is a closed realisation to the reality (by contact-47276)
All the story is inspired from the reality and it is closed more to the good parts for this industry. Really, is a place for smart people and especially for smart women, who are more attracted to start, good experience for single. But then like in the movie it becomes interesting and the way you handle your life through this can bring you to something that not everybody live. Our colleague experienced a story same like this in Brussels through the EscortBruxelles.be where her mysterious lover become now her boyfriend and she quit the call girl adventure. She was just doing that to find out <more>
A Must Watch! Drama, Comedy, Romance - a total package (by ReviewBuff)
You know how some movies make you go through a variety of emotions within a short span of time? This movie does that! You'll experience humor, drama, and love... and if you try to predict how the story will progress, you will make a total fool out of yourself. This movie should not be under the "Comedy" genre. Its a total package. Lyndsy Fonseca has outdone herself in this movie. Personally, I couldn't take my eyes off her. She Wowed me with her range of emotions. This is an award winning performance by her. Kudos to the writers for creating "Natalie" and for coming <more>
up with such an interesting storyline. At one point I actually did shed a "happy" tear, and that usually does not happen to me. Thank you for this amazing movie.A must watch!
A new and interesting way to deal with an old social result (by ffortuny)
There is realism in this movie; every single thing that happens is credible. Personally, I enjoy stories that could easily be real life narrations. This is not a recount of something that happened, but it could well be the combined narration of things that are happening to real people in real life. The movie has cinematic quality; actors perform well, very well, as a matter of fact. The movie is a moving story and causes feelings to develop as you watch it. I can not think of one single character whose performance was not up to what would be expected from them. There is social logic in the <more>
story. It does let you see that ultimately, what you do in life is a result of your type of response to your personal circumstances. It is difficult for me to understand why this movie has not been given the attention and promotion it deserves. I suspect it is due to some chauvinism in those involved; the real power of the human female is an issue with males whose only means to get to such females, is by paying a fee: everybody needs money, and those who believe they can afford it, will use it to possess them for at least the contracted hour. At the same time, the males some of them, at least feel rage and frustration because as they pay their fee, they know there is some form of inadequacy in conforming to social desirable standards as the drive making them involve in such contracts. It is an excellent movie; intelligent, realistic and mind opening, at least.
There are a few things that this VERY low-budget 2010s imitation of "Pretty Woman" has going for it. IOne, it takes place in the new age of internet journalism and internet hookups. Second, it has great cinematography. I love the art wall and behind-the-head panning shots. Also great, updated music. Third, there is some really great and surprising A+ dialogue, just not all the time. Fourth, and in a very unusual twist, both leading characters are having pickup sex all the time so there is no power dynamic of one over another like you see or imagine in most romcom movies. And unlike <more>
"Pretty Woman", in this movie the hooker has all the power, not the man, so it's a male fantasy, not a female one hint: there is NO male Rodeo-Drive shopping trip! Fifth, the film has a lighthearted sense of humor, as evidenced in the opening scene. And lastly, and remarkably, the movie stars its own 29-yr old screenwriter, as a newspaper writer, and so it is perhaps autobiographical; I wonder? This doesn't happen to me hardly ever but 3/4 of the way through the movie I got so worried about the ending that I began frantically searching for the plot conclusion. I found no spoilers before the ending. I have to give it 9 stars based on how I began rooting for the characters; it was gripping. This is well acted but with a $5m not $40m budget for A+ charisma stars and A+ blockbuster soundtrack. Definitely a much more realistic film and more thoughtful, too, than "Pretty Woman".
Well I just got done watching it and according to me I think it pretty much rolls as a normal romantic kinda movie if your the guy who has watched a lot of em so you'd probably know all of em are the same but this one had a little twist which was cheesy anyways I'll just say if you're really bored probably then other than that it's not that good . I will however say that you'll enjoy it to some extent if you like romance on that way specially with these two actors they do a good job at giving there piece.. NOT a Family movie guys okay keep the kids away and away.. I know <more>
the film title itself looks provocative but it doesn't have anything. Lol. Was kidding about that. Watch it and enjoy.
I'll keep this short; 'The Escort' has covered most of a touching movie. Bouncing between the edges of morality, love, humour and drama you'll find a chemical reaction between two well played characters both struggling with their shadow sides of life. Both Fonseca and Doneger performing par excellence and in contrast to the sufficient sometimes close to over- acting by Campbell and other co-stars.The story itself is a contemporary version of existing grandeurs like 'Pretty Woman' and 'Indecent proposal'. If there is anything negative to mention it is the <more>
lacking depth and meagre storyline. Not a rough diamond but certainly a polished ruby, well worth viewing.
What we have here is a fine example of the genre, romantic comedy. Two offbeat characters meet each other due to chance, and begin a transformative affiliation, friendship, and relationship. It is a charming film, and anyone who is a sucker for quality drama would be wrong to pass this one by, because of the wit, characters, and ultimate payoff provided. While the two main characters are unique; an educated escort, and a hermit sex addict, what is most revealing is that they suffer from very common, contemporary problems: loneliness amidst others, inherit trust issues due to difficult <more>
experiences, and a subconscious need to find someone to love.Finding someone you can truly trust is a tall order indeed - sometimes you think trust is there, only do discover another person won't listen to certain topics, or you bite your own tongue when a conversation gets challenging. The freedom to truly express yourself, and bare your soul takes the presence of a very special person indeed, and in my own experience not only are these people very rare, they arrive in your life when you least expect it. This is exactly the type of experience this movie gets at.The casting is right on point. Both leads are attractive, believable, interesting, and entertaining to follow. The directing is admirable, because of the way the dialog flows from everyone involved. The comic timing may be the best quality of the film, and results in many laugh out loud moments. While the characters are believable, it is my opinion not all the scenarios are quite to this level. This movie includes a cell phone application as a major plot point, and while the app is based in reality, the people involved are... lets just say a bit more glamorous than those who would really partake. Both characters are at the top of upper middle class, very fortunate, and perhaps do not represent a wide demographic of people who will watch the film. But who cares? They are both interesting, and so are the surrounding characters who round out the cast, and this is a movie, not reality! This is especially true regarding Bruce Campbell's character. He the actor is a personal favorite of mine, because he always turns in a strong performance, and while generally cast as an offbeat character - it is a genuine pleasure to see how he handles an opportunity in a more sedate role.As I noted, the comedy is excellent, well directed, and originates from the strong writing. The dialog comes off as somewhat disjointed, in jagged releases, with wonderful beats in-between... where you can see the characters thinking. I truly wonder if this style was parenthetical in the script, or discovered in round tables during preproduction. It doesn't matter, what does is the truth of the dialog was found by everyone important, brought to locations, then captured on film. This movie overachieves, entertains without frills, special effects, or action - just good old fashion characters, dialog, and story. Many people would have a preconception of what the movie will be by title, and cover art, and would be wrong - endearing, entertaining, and often hilarious, which is why I give it8 out of 10.
